A List of Many Options:
*Get away..go wherever I'm taken and walk away from this life.. move on.. without any support under me, no anchor to keep me grounded, no safety net below a falling jumper.. so maybe not the best options
*Stop everything all together.. without any of it, ill have no option but get a life, move ahead, stay focused to get out.
*Surrender to it and do absolutely nothing. No money, no career, no place to call my own, no real friends, no real life.
*Dabble, and stay unsure all together. Things can go either way while I'm walking a fence interminably...something that will inevitably lead to a fall at some point.

This is amazing to me...
Do not harm the individual - Imagine a society where every single person did not look to harm another individual. You wouldn't have to lock your doors at night and self-defense would be a thing of the past. You may think one person cannot make a difference. The whole world is just six billion individuals. Just think, you may inspire someone to be like you and start a chain reaction!

My life is doable
"Kids" -MGMT
I figure, my life is managable, its simplle, its a clean base..I can build whatever I want on it, but I have to take the initiative to decide what I want, what I need, and what I need to do to get it. Then build...
I need to grow up, get over my childish (chanelling Garcia) way of falling victim to my emotions. "GROW THE FUCK UP AND GET OVER YOUR SHIT!".. I wish I actually listened when I was told. But hey, I'm here and learning.
I can chose to indulge what I want (good or bad)- but I need to let go of that power/con trol I give it and get back to reality.

Chasing a fantasy, living a reality, but heading towards where I'm meant to be
I guess for the longest time, I've really just lived safely.. I've been afraid of everything, It's too much though! I need to find my bliss, my excitement, my fantasy, and live it through.. Life is dangerous, nothing is guaranteed. So why take what I have for granted?
Being in Mexico, I experienced the "ahora" (now in Spanish)..and it was like nothing I've ever felt before. Nothing deep, complicated, good or bad..yet profound. Not going back more than a few moments in my thoughts and same with the future. I experienced every thought and idea without judgement but let it all go. I found god without looking like I've had to back "home".
But back to my point: I need to live. I don't know exactly whats in my future, but that's a part of the now.. I won't necessarily know whats next but I can trust myself and trust god to get me to wherever I'm meant to be. And when I do, I'll just know. Whether it's volunteering in 3rd world countries as a nurse, traveling the world as a writer, or just going with life and knowing all will work out- I'm ready. :)

Here is what I have so far and I'm terrified...
I need to take a quick, constructive, break from this.. So here I am blogging a bit.. I forgot chose to forget about an assignment that intimidated me a lot.. Eventaully, I really did forget. Here I am writing to save my life (and grade) and hoping this speech doesnt come out like shit..
CLASSIC SPEECH OUTLINE
General Purpose: To inform.
Specific Purpose: By meditating a few moments a day, we can all live happier, healthier, lives.
Introduction:
- Attention Getter: According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), 1 out of 4 Americans will die of heart disease and 1 out of 10 will die of cancer. That means in this room, it is likely that __ of us will die from cancer or heart disease.
- Motivation for Listening: Meditation however, has been proven to reduce stress and subsequently, prevent the onslaught of ailments that would likely kill many of us.
- Thesis Statement: By meditating a few moments a day, we can all live happier, healthier, lives.
- Preview of Speech (1st, 2nd, 3rd, ect.)
First I will inform you about stress in relation to one’s health. Then I will talk to you about how meditation can improve one’s life. And finally, I will present a specific technique everyone can use to meditate.
Transition to body of Speech
Body
- First Main Point
a. Analysis and Research
Stress triggers the body to release a hormone called cortisol- the flight or fight hormone that excites our nervous system.
Prolonged exposure to this hormone can result in: obesity, heart disease, an increased risk of stroke, damage to ones brain cells, impaired growth in children, and hair loss (something that we can’t all pull off as well as Bryce)
b. Analysis and Research
According to the American Psychological Association, stress is linked to the six leading causes of death- heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver, and suicide.
All of which have been found to be preventable. And while many of us have been warned against smoking, drinking, & high cholesterol intake.. We’ve rarely been told about meditation. Admittedly, I’ve been warned about the need to relax every now and then, but without specifics I usually ended up with a night that went like a bad Ke$ha song. Cigarettes cause lung ailments, cancer, and heart disease. Alcohol can lead to heart disease, cancer, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver and suicide. And with drinking and smoking being some of the most sensationalized “relaxation methods”, we aren’t left with much else. Drinking in the park at 8 in the morning makes one seem like an alcoholic bum. Yet quieting your mind and letting go of pressure is a healthy option that can be done as often as you want, as long as you want, anywhere you want making it a healthy alternative.
